Moss & Colella P.C., one of the most well-respected personal injury and civil rights law firms in metro-Detroit, is seeking an attorney to lead the firm’s appellate practice, which includes both state and federal courts. The candidate would also provide trial support, lending assistance to the firm’s trial lawyers with research, writing and pre-trial motion practice.

Candidate Considerations:

• Excellent research, legal brief writing, and communication skills
• J.D. from an ABA-approved law school
• Member in good standing and active in the Michigan Bar or ability to become licensed
• Former appellate clerkship is desirable
• Law review experience and high academic achievement is desirable
• Ability to work on a team and be responsive to other lawyers and clients
• Willingness to work hard, often on short deadlines, and open to learn from appellate lawyers with extensive experience

Reception Specialist

Moss and Colella is seeking a sharp, detailed-oriented receptionist to add to our growing team to manage front desk and reception operations of our busy law firm. This position is part-time, 1pm - 5pm Monday - Friday. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a friendly and professional attitude. Excellent communication and telephone skills are required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong editing skills are required; candidates may be asked to demonstrate these skills during the initial interview. Experience with Adobe Acrobat is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities include communicating with clients in person and on the phone, answering a high volume of phone calls, preparing and revising documents, and assisting in other duties that help the office run smoothly.
